I know I haven't posted in a while, I'm sorry. Things have been a bit crazy here of late with various things.
Today I found out that the psychotherapy I've been waiting for won't happen. To cut a very long story short, I have waited 18 months for them to tell me that the options I have now are paying for counselling (i.e. non-NHS), 6 sessions of free counselling, or group therapy. All of those I've tried, and were the reason I was waiting for psychotherapy. *headdesk* I'm not a happy emmaduck. Hopefully my psychiatrist, support worker or GP will have something helpful to say about it over the next couple of weeks. We shall see.
Other crapness from today is that I may have fractured my foot. I sprained my ankle a week ago and my ankle and foot are still very painful, so today I limped to the doctors. Lovely female GP (not my usual GP) said that she is probably being over-cautious, but she wants me to have an x-ray to make sure it isn't broken. I have a form to take to A & E - my problem is that there is no way my anxiety will let me sit in A & E and wait for the x-ray. Aside from the fact that the last time I went to A & E I was suicidal, I can't stand hospitals or sick people in general and A & E is the epitome of that. I'm really hoping that my support worker can come with me (I'm meant to be meeting her tomorrow anyway), or that she can organise someone else to come with me, because I don't really have anyone else here that I can ask at the moment.
I've got an important letter to write tonight too. Probably shouldn't have taken those painkillers...!
Also, has anyone here taken tramadol before, or know much about it? I'm always a little nervous about taking new painkillers, especially ones that are so strong.
Finally, if you didn't see it last night, watch this:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00fm5ql/b00fm5mb/Horizon_How_Mad_Are_You_How_Mad_Are_You_Part_1/ It's part one of a two part documentary/experiment to see if mental health professionals can pick out the mad people from the sane people in a group of 10 participants. Definitely worth watching and incredibly interesting.
